BEAUTY
– Beauty is scored on facial beauty (1-10), poise (1-10), appearance
(1-10), and stage presence/ personality (1-10). Recommended attire
is pageant dress or gown, with short or tea length dresses
recommended for ages 0 to 10 years, and floor length or tea length
recommended for ages 11 and up. Contestants may model a front or
back T. There is a time limit of 1 ½ minutes and music will be
provided by the pageant for this event.
OPTIONAL
EVENTS
The
following events may be combined with your beauty score for the
supreme titles. Please keep in mind that we use your highest
modeling event score plus your highest photo event score, along with
your beauty score, for the supreme titles.
MODELING EVENTS
TROPICAL
WEAR
– This outfit should reflect a tropical look and/ or style. Have
fun with this event and be creative! Scoring is based on overall
appearance (1-10), stage presence/ personality (1-10) and modeling
presentation based on age (1-10). Modeling should be upbeat and
modeling routines are welcome.
Contestants may carry a small prop that the contestant herself can
carry, but no acrobatics please. There is a time limit of 1 ½ minutes and music
will be provided by the pageant.
CASUAL
WEAR
– This outfit can be off the rack or custom. Casual wear should not
be decorated with rhinestones or look like a pro am outfit. Scoring
is based on overall appearance (1-10), stage presence/ personality
(1-10) and modeling presentation based on age (1-10). Modeling
should be fun and highlight your great personality! This is not a
proam event. There is a time limit of 1 ½ minutes and music will be
provided by the pageant.
OUTFIT OF
CHOICE
– This is just what it sounds like. You choose the type of outfit
you wear for this modeling event. It can be Sportswear, Western
wear, Swimwear, themed wear, etc. It’s up to you! Scoring is based
on overall appearance (1-10), stage presence/ personality (1-10) and
modeling presentation based on age (1-10). Modeling style is up to
you, but no acrobatics please. You may bring your own music for
this event. Please bring it on a CD (we cannot play cassette
tapes), and label it with your name, age division and
contestant number. If music is not ready to play, sound person will
substitute their own music. There is a 1 ½ minute time limit.
PHOTO EVENTS
PHOTOGENIC
– Bring your headshot photos with you to registration. Photos may be color
or black and white or a combination of both if you are entering
multiple photos, and any size up to 8 ½ x 11. Please have each
photo in a clear protective sleeve and labeled on the back with
contestants name and age division. You may enter more than one
photo. Photos will be returned after crowning. Scoring is based on
clarity of photo (1-10), beauty (1-10), and overall appeal of photo
(1-10).
COMPOSITE
– Please bring your composites with you to registration. Your
composite should include a variety of photos, looks, outfits,
expressions, and may include headshots, full-lengths, and ¾
lengths. Composites will be returned after crowning. Scoring is
based on clarity of photos (1-10), variety of looks (1-10) and
overall appeal (1-10).
PORTFOLIO
– Please bring your portfolio with you to registration. Your
portfolio should include a variety of photos in a binder or
portfolio book, with a maximum of 10 photos in your portfolio.
These should include different looks, outfits, expressions, etc.
Scoring is based on variety of looks (1-10), clarity of photos
(1-10) and overall appeal (1-10).
SPECIAL
OPTIONAL EVENTS
These
events are not counted towards the supreme titles. They are special
optional events that you can enter for the chance to win additional
prizes.
COVER
MODEL QUEEN
– This is a special optional event (not counted towards your supreme
score) and will be awarded to one contestant who will appear on the
front cover of our national program book. Please submit color
headshots only for this event. This is a separate event to enter,
and photo(s) for this event must be received by the national office
no later than February 19, 2010. You may mail actual photo(s) or
email your photo(s) in JPEG format. Photo(s) received via regular
mail will be returned after crowning.
COVER
MODEL PRINCESS
- This is a special optional event (not counted towards your supreme
score) and will be awarded to one contestant who will appear on the
back cover of our national program book. You are automatically
entered for this award if you enter the Cover Model Queen event, and
do not need to submit any additional photos for this event. This is
awarded to next highest scoring Cover Model photo.
PRINT
MODEL QUEEN
- This is a special optional event (not counted towards your supreme
score) and will be awarded to one contestant who will appear in the
national program book centerfold. Please submit either full-length
photos or ¾ length photos for this event. This is a separate event
to enter, and photo(s) for this event must be received by the
national office no later than February 19, 2010. You may mail
actual photo(s) or email your photo(s) in JPEG format. Photo(s)
received via regular mail will be returned after crowning. |
